Recovery of Nylon from Nylon Waste

Nylon is one of the most common plastics in the world and has been used to create everything from clothes and parachutes to food packaging and guitar strings. Nylon can also be used in conjunction with other materials, such as glass and carbon fibre, as its wide range of qualities are often beneficial, but sadly lacking from the materials that it teams up with. The global nylon market has been estimated to register a significant growth on account of increasing demand of light weight fuel efficient vehicles. The primary factors driving growth of the market are the rising use of the light weight vehicles, growing demand for light weight, heat resistant and durable material in numerous industrial applications, and ever increasing demand of the product from textile industry. The global automotive market is estimated to grow at higher CAGR to mark over USD 90 billion revenue in 2018. The production and use of light weight cars and other automotive, as projected by Morgan Stanley analysts, is set to rise to 2.9 percent of 99 million new vehicles in 2020 and to 9.4 percent of 102 million new vehicles in 2025, from 1.1 percent of 86.5 million this year. This is anticipated to fuel demand of the nylon in manufacturing light yet durable parts. Additionally, there is growing demand for the demand for organic which is expected to rise globally due to the rising prices of petrochemical-based raw. Bio-based polyamides are a high-quality alternative to substitute petro-based. They can be used in automotive, electronics, and sports applications. As a result, it has been projected that in future the demand of nylon may surge manifolds. Moreover, surging demand for and use of consumer goods and electronic devices is expected to further boost growth of the market.

In this study, 2016 has been considered as the base year, and the forecast period is between 2017 and 2022. The adhesives tapes market has been segmented on the basis of resin type, backing substrate, technology, category, application, and region. Based on resin type, the adhesives tapes market has been classified into acrylic, rubber, silicone, and others. Silicone-based adhesive tapes maintain adhesion over a large temperature range and possess the ability to adhere to difficult surfaces. The overall adhesive strength of silicone-based adhesive tapes is lower than that of other adhesive tapes.

Caustic Soda Flakes from Sea Water

Caustic soda flakes (technical sodium hydroxide flakes) – flake mass of white color, very hygroscopic, very soluble in water and alcohol. The formula is NaOH. Technical sodium hydroxide flakes are obtained by evaporating of liquid caustic soda ? grade. Caustic Soda Flakes is a flexible fundamental synthetic with an extensive variety of mechanical applications. It is exceedingly insolvable is water and is for all the insoluble in most natural solvents with exception of alcohols. Caustic Soda Flakes is available in the form of lye (solution in water), as strong and as pieces. Caustic Soda Flakes is an inorganic concoction compound having a place with the gathering of the most grounded alkalies, it is profoundly hygroscopic and solvent in water and alcohols. The global caustic soda market was valued at 78,833.08 kilotons in 2017 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of approximately 5.15% during the forecast period (2018 - 2023). The market is mainly driven by the growing demand from the chemicals industry, the rising demand for alumina in the automotive industry, and the increasing demand for paper and paperboards. On the flipside, energy-intensive production process is expected to hinder market growth. The global caustic soda market is segmented as the type, application and region. On the basis of type, caustic soda market is segmented as lye, flake and others. On the basis of application, market is segmented as inorganic chemical, organic chemical, alumina, soap & detergents, pulp & paper, water treatment, textiles, dye & ink and others. Based on the region, the market is divided into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East & Africa.

Naphthalene from Coal Tar & Petroleum Waste

Naphthalene is an organic compound with formula C10H8. It is the simplest polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, and is a white crystalline solid with a characteristic odor that is detectable at concentrations as low as 0.08 ppm by mass. As an aromatic hydrocarbon, naphthalene's structure consists of a fused pair of benzene rings. It is best known as the main ingredient of traditional mothballs. Naphthalene is the most abundant single constituent of coal tar, a volatile product from the destructive distillation of coal, and is also formed in modern processes for the high-temperature cracking (breaking up of large molecules) of petroleum. It is commercially produced by crystallization from the intermediate fraction of condensed coal tar and from the heavier fraction of cracked petroleum. The substance crystallizes in lustrous white plates, melting at 80.1°C (176.2°F) and boiling at 218°C (424°F). It is almost insoluble in water. Naphthalene is highly volatile and has a characteristic odour; it has been used as moth repellent. Naphthalene is a class of an organic compound with chemical formula C10H8. It is considered as the simplest polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, and is a white solid chemical that sublimes easily. Naphthalene is manufactured commercially from either coal tar or petroleum; majorly it is produced from coal tar across the globe. Naphthalene is used in the manufacturing of phthalic anhydride and also used in mothballs. Additionally, it is used as surfactant & wetting agent, plasticizer, and pesticide in numerous end use industries such as building & construction, agriculture, household cleaning, textile and others. The global naphthalene market is categorized into five regions, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, North America, and the Middle East & Africa. The Asia Pacific region is predicted to grow with the fastest CAGR during the review period, (2016 to 2023) on account of expansion of numerous end use industries such as building & construction and agriculture among others.

Solder Flux

Flux in the smelting of copper these agents served various functions, the simplest being a reducing agent, which prevented oxides from forming on the surface of the molten metal, while others absorbed impurities into the slag, which could be scraped off the molten metal. As cleaning agents, fluxes facilitate soldering, brazing, and welding by removing oxidation from the metals to be joined. The global market for solder flux is estimated to swell at a CAGR of 6.30% between 2017 and 2024. Rising at this pace, the market will reach US$367.3 million by 2024 from US$213.2 million in 2015. The global market for solder flux is heavily influenced by the sturdy rise in the manufacturing of printed circuit board (PCB), fueled by the increasing production of computers and mobile phones across the world. The significant growth in the automotive and the semiconductor industries is also having a positive impact on the sales of solder flux, reflecting positively on this market. The global solder flux market is majorly impacted in a positive way by the strong increase in the PCB (printed circuit board) manufacturing, boosted by the growing mobile phones and computers production all around the world. Also, a noteworthy growth in the automotive and the semiconductor sectors is positively impacting the solder flux sales, thus enhancing the growth of the global solder flux market.
