Tannin Based Wood Adhesive - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Tannin is an excellent renewable resource for replacing petroleum-derived phenolic compounds. The major wood species from which it can be obtained are mimosa, quebracho and radiata pine. It is mainly concentrated in the inner layer of the bark and has been utilized in the adhesives industry in Africa, South America and Oceania. In particular, tannin-based wood adhesives have been used industrially for quite a long time in several countries for the manufacture of exterior wood panels. There are two different types of tannin: wattle tannin composed of resorcinol A-rings and pine tannin composed of phloroglucinol A-rings with catechol or pyrogallol B-rings. The free C6 or C8 sites on the A-ring react with formaldehyde, due to their strong nucleophilicity, to form the adhesive. The phenolic nuclei in tannins also react with formaldehyde. This high reactivity of tannins towards formaldehyde is the result of their A-ring phloroglucinolic or resorcinolic nuclei, which haved 10- to 50-times higher rate of reaction than the reaction of phenol with formaldehyde. Because of this characteristic, less free formaldehyde emission occurs than from other wood adhesives such as phenol– formaldehyde, urea–formaldehyde, etc. Tannins are an important ingredient in the process of tanning leather. Tanbark from oak, mimosa, chestnut and quebracho tree has traditionally been the primary source of tannery tannin, though inorganic tanning agents are also in use today and account for 90% of the world's leather production. Therefore, it is a good project for entrepreneurs to invest. PE Wax Emulsion - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue, Plant Layout

Waxes are among the oldest worked materials used by humans. Their value as versatile construction materials ("man's first plastic") was discovered very early. Today, waxes are used mostly as additives and active substances. The use of waxes is expected to increase in the future because of their generally favourable toxicological and ecological properties. The word "wax" usually refers to a variety of organic substances that are solid at ambient temperature but become free-flowing liquids at slightly higher temperatures. The chemical composition of waxes is complex, but normal alkanes are always present in high proportion and molecular weight profiles tend to be wide. The main commercial source of wax is crude oil but not all crude oil refiners produce wax. "Mineral" wax can also be produced from lignite. Plants, animals and even insects produce materials sold in commerce as "wax." Wax emulsions are now well established and extensively used in aqueous formulations such as coatings, inks and OPVs, textile and leather treatments, polishes, paper and cardboard coatings, etc. These ready-to-use emulsions can be easily incorporated by simple mixing. Their very fine particle size ensures an intimate and homogeneous incorporation within other ingredients of the formulation, maximizing the required effect(s). Wax emulsions can be stabilized by either a steric mechanism (using with non-ionic emulsifiers) or by an electrostatic mechanism (using ionic emulsifiers, most often anionics). Combining anionic and non-ionic emulsifiers gives the emulsion an optimum stability because wax particles are protected through both stabilization mechanisms referred to as the electro-steric stabilization mechanism. In addition to giving more flexibility in formulating, each stabilization mechanism has not only its own advantages and disadvantages but also significantly impacts on the overall formulation. Polyethylene wax is used in many applications to improve processing and end product properties. It is widely used in plastic, rubber and electrical industry, up to in ink, paint, detergent and chemical engineering industry, wax becomes more important product then ever in general industrial field as raw material additive improving its efficiency. As a whole it is a good project for new entrepreneurs to invest.

Adhesive Based on Epoxy Resin (2 Pack)-Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities

The adhesive industry has seen significant changes in recent years. The type and number of these changes have been astounding. They include new substrate materials, regulatory burdens, acquisitions and mergers, new raw materials, new application and curing processes, and a host of volatile technical, commercial, and political issues. Epoxy technology gives the formulator an almost unlimited number of tools to employ. The type of epoxy polymer backbone, curative, resinous modifiers, and special additives or fillers all serve as degrees of freedom available in developing an adhesive system for a given application.Epoxy adhesives are chemical compounds used to join components by providing a bond between two surfaces. They are high-performance thermosetting resins, which display a unique combination of properties. Epoxy resins have been commercially available for almost a half-century and are arguably one of the most versatile polymers with uses across an enormously wide variety of industries. Adhesive markets represent only a small percentage of the total consumption of epoxy resins. However, epoxy adhesives provide significant value added, so that their prices and profit margins are generally higher than those for other adhesive types. Epoxy adhesives represent a significant part of the overall structural adhesives market (about $1.8 billion). The main competitors to epoxy adhesives are polyurethanes; however, thermosetting acrylics and cyanoacrylate adhesives are also strong challengers in certain market segments.Although the overall annual growth rate for epoxy adhesive is in the 3 to 5 percent range, certain regional markets. Thus, due to demand it is a good project for entrepreneurs to invest. ADHESIVE FROM MAIZE STARCH

An adhesive is used in order to bond two substances together. To enable the bonding the adhesive has to have surface adhesion and cohesion. This means that the adhesive used must be able to develop an adhesion to the substrate and after setting it has to have the required bond strength (cohesion). The wet ability depends on the adhesives and the substrates surface energy. The adhesive, therefore, needs to have a lower surface energy than the substrate. The lower energy is a necessity, because nature aims to obtain a decrease in total energy. The durability of an adhesive joint is affected by other factors as well, for example the application which it is used for (indoors or outdoors), the load it has to bear and the temperature it will be exposed to.In addition to good adhesion and cohesion, there are other requirements on adhesives as well. For example the adhesive needs to be able to go through processing that is normal in adhesive manufacturing and have a reasonable price. Adhesive (Fevicol Type) Water Proofing Grade

Fevicol type adhesives come under the category of synthetic resins and latex adhesives are made from polyvinyl acetate is a thermoplastic, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, essentially clear and colorless resin. WPA is the highest level of “wet strength.” This in itself is a misnomer in that all starch is water soluble. This type of adhesive would typically be used in the most demanding applications. In addition to using 1.5% to 2% “wet strength” resin in relation to the liquid volume of the batch, it is essential that additional starch be applied to the board. These are formulated from compounds like vinyl acetate polymers and copolymers (PVAC), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), acrylics, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), natural rubber latex and synthetic elastomers, and polyurethane (pur).
