Urea Formaldehyde Resin (Powder) - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Plant Layout

The major applications of these resins are in adhesives, chip board making, paper industry, surface coatings, moulding powders, laminated plastics and miscellaneous. They have the advantage of initial water solubility, non flammability, hardness, resistance and absence of colour in cured polymers. Absence of colour makes them suitable for production of beautiful translucent shades of any colour. UF resin powder is used in button moulders, bottle caps, table ware crockery, switch grears etc. Demand is more than production hence consumption of UF resin is increasing day by day. This is a profitable industry, the raw materials and machinery being indigenously available. New entrepreneurs may enter UF resin production to reduce the gap between demand and supply.

Formaldehyde or formic Aldehyde, HCHO, the simplest of the aliphatic aldehydes, is a colourless gas. It is met with in commerce in the form of its aqueous solution, under the name Formalin, Formaldehyde etc. The manufacture of formaldehyde in India was under taken by the Industrial Chemical works. It is used as an antiseptic and disinfectant for surgical purposes, in the manufacture of phenol-formaldehyde and urea-formaldehyde resins, in the plastic industry. It is used for the preparation of anatomical and biological specimens as it renders protein hard and insoluble. It is also used in the manufacture of synthetic dyestuff and in silvering mirror. The most important use of formaldehyde and its polymers is in the manufacture of phenolic and urea melamine resins. This use accounts for over 70% of formaldehyde production in U.S.A. At present, there are almost 20 units manufacturing formalin. The total demand for formalin from all these end-uses is estimated to increase around 3,35,000 tonnes. It will be profitable for the new entrants to invest in this project.

Non-Formaldehyde Dye Fixing Agent for Reactive Dyes

Dyes and pigments are the most important colorants used to add a color or to change the color of something. They are widely used in the textile, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, plastics, paint, ink, photographic and paper industries. Dyes are colored substances which are soluble or go into solution during the application process and impart color by selective absorption of light. Dye Fixing Agent (DFA) is a cationic dye-fixing agent, which improves the wet fastness of dyed or printed cotton cellulosic good on which direct reactive or after copper able dyes are used.DFA is stable in hard water. Dilute acids, and low electrolyte concentrations. It is precipitated in presence of strong alkalies and salts of mineral acids. Weakly acidic solution improves the stability of DFA towards salts. DFA is not compatible with anionic products but cationic softness can be used the same bath. Dye fixing agent prevents the fabrics from color fading by washing, etc, by bonding chemically with unfixed excess dye on the fabrics. The imperative need of textiles in every aspect of life has been the premise for the growth of the global textile chemicals market.Coloring of fabrics, yarns and fibers is a crucial process in textile manufacturing. Textile dyes, therefore, represent an important chemical feedstock in textile production. As a whole it is a good project for new entrepreneurs to invest. Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde (systematic name methanal) is a naturally occurring organic compound with the formula CH2O (H-CHO). It is the simplest of the aldehydes (R-CHO). The common name of this substance comes from its similarity and relation to formic acid. Formaldehyde is an important precursor to many other materials and chemical compounds. In 1996, the installed capacity for the production of formaldehyde was estimated to be 8.7 million tons per year. It is mainly used in the production of industrial resins, e.g., for particle board and coatings. The demand for formaldehyde is continuously rising due to its increasing use in the production of various resins. These resins are being used in various industries for manufacturing purpose. Formaldehyde is also being used in producing home building products. Formaldehyde is also known for its preservative and anti-bacterial properties. Hence, medical laboratories and some consumer products are also using formaldehyde as a preservative. The global consumption of formaldehyde is increasing as it is being used on a large scale for construction and remodeling activity and furniture production. Due to the excellent thermal and chemical resistance, formaldehyde-based resins are being used in manufacturing airplane and automobile parts. Formaldehyde is also being used in manufacturing anti-infective drugs, hard-gel capsules, and vaccines. The global formaldehyde market has been segmented into application, derivatives, end use, and region. On the basis of derivatives, Urea Formaldehyde (UF) resins and concentrates is likely to witness the highest growth in terms of volume throughout the forecast period from 2017 to 2026. Based on the application, the market is further segmented into resins, drying agents, plasticizers, solvents, fibers, and other chemical intermediaries. Formaldehyde is expected to find the largest application in resins during 2017-2026.

Melamine formaldehyde Powder

Melamine resin or melamine formaldehyde (also shortened to melamine) is a hard, thermosetting plastic material made from melamine and formaldehyde by polymerization. It is then used to cross-link with alkyd, epoxy, acrylic, and polyester resins, used in surface coatings. Melamine-formaldehyde resins in partially condensed form, herein referred to as melamine-formaldehyde precondensates, are widely used in finishing of textiles. They are commonly applied to the textiles in an aqueous medium. Such resins are commonly produced by condensing melamine and formaldehyde in the presence of methanol under reflux conditions. The reaction between the melamine and formaldehyde is exothermic and diflicult to control so as to form chiefly the desired trior tetramethylol melamine. Melamine formaldehyde is a synthetic resin manufactured by reacting melamine with highly reactive formaldehyde gas under alkaline conditions. Melamine formaldehyde resin is generally compared with urea-formaldehyde resin with respect to its processing and applications, however it is harder, stronger and offers even better resistance to chemicals, moisture, heat, electricity and scratching, compared against urea-formaldehyde. It is referred as thermosetting polymer or amino resins, exhibits excellent value added properties such as low density, thermal stability, high gloss, transparency, and light fastness. Owing to its value added properties, melamine formaldehyde has found great industrial applications in fire retardants, surface coatings, plywood, particleboard, adhesive, molding compounds and laminates among others. Global Melamine Formaldehyde Market size is expected to reach $687 million by 2022 from $430 million in 2015. It is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 6.9%. Melamine formaldehyde is a synthetic resin obtained by chemical combination of melamine. It is a translucent solid made from urea and formaldehyde, a highly reactive strong smelling gas derived from methane. The reaction product of melamine, urea, and related compounds with formaldehyde are called amino lasts. The hardness and chemical & moisture resistance quality of melamine resin is attributed to its complex and interlinked polymer structure. Melamine resin or Melamine formaldehyde is an organic, heterocyclic compound made from polymerizing melamine and formaldehyde to form a hard, thermosetting plastic material. Melamine when in its butylated form is dissolved in xylene and n-butanol. Nitrogen being a major constituent in the melamine structure makes melamine formaldehyde extremely flame retardant by nature. Melamine formaldehyde is formed by cross-linking this product with other products such as epoxy, acrylic, alkyd, and polyester resins. MF has some beneficial physical characteristics over Urea resins. It is moisture-resistant, hard, and stronger than urea formaldehyde. Global melamine formaldehyde market is anticipated to observe vigorous development over the forecast period owing to increase in demand from a range of end-use market applications. The properties of melamine formaldehyde such as resistance to water, fire, UV and light is slated to aid the overall market considerably over the forecast period.
