VERMICOMPOST FROM SOLVENT EXTRACTED SPICE WASTE - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities

Vermicompost is the product or process of composting utilizing various species of worms, usually red wigglers, white worms, and earthworms to create a heterogeneous mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast. Vermicast, similarly known as worm castings, worm humus or worm manure, is the end-product of the breakdown of organic matter by a species of earthworm. Containing water-soluble nutrients, vermicompost is an excellent, nutrient rich organic fertilizer and soil conditioner. The process of producing vermicompost is called vermicomposting. In addition to much faster decomposition rates, there are several other reasons that make vermicomposting a preferable method over standard methods. With vermicomposting, there is little to no need of aeration or turning unlike conventional methods. The end product of vermicomposting has greater soluble nutrient levels as well as higher microbial populations when compared to traditional methods. On an industrial scale, vermicomposting has been practiced as an in-situ soil remediation process whereby worms mine heavy metals from the soil or treat hydrocarbon contamination. Additionally, vermicomposting has been effective at treating municipal bio-solids and wastewater as well being capable of processing animal manures and other by-products from paper, distillery, and others. Vermicompost, like conventional compost, provides many benefits to agricultural soil, including increased ability to retain moisture, better nutrient holding capacity, better soil structure, and higher levels of microbial activity. A search of the literature, however, indicates that vermicompost may be superior to conventional aerobic compost in a number of areas. There is very wide scope and good market potential of the product due to growth of organic farming.

The textile industry occupies a leading position in the hierarchy of the Indian manufacturing industry. It was estimated to contribute 14% to industrial output, 4% to GDP and about 11% to Indias export earnings. Besides, it provides direct employment to over 35 mn people and is the second biggest employer. Its direct linkages with the rural economy, being dependent on fibre crops, is also closely linked with diverse crafts, such as those using cotton, wood and silk and handlooms employing millions of farmers and craftsmen in rural and semi-urban areas. In the global context, the industry accounts for 61% of loomage, 22% of spindleage, 12% of the production of textile fibres and yarn, and 25% share in the total world trade of cotton yarn. Various Units of Textile Industry: The textile industry is classified into (i) textile mills comprising composite and spinning mills in the organized sector; (ii) small powerloom and handloom units in the decentralised sector; (iii) khadi based units; (iv) manmade and synthetic fibre and spinning units; (v) knitting units; and (vi) made-ups (garments). The industry is made up of small scale, non integrated spinning, weaving, finishing and apparel making units as well integrated composite mills. Of the nearly 2700 units engaged in spinning yarns, 1135 are small scale. The weaving units numbering 4.8 mn have only 10,000 units in the organized sector, while the rest are engaged in handlooms (3.9 mn) and powerlooms (1.8 mn). Of the 3,300 processing units, nearly 2,100 are independent small units, while the fabricators of garments number 77,000 small scale units. Market Scenario: Cotton yarn production in India declined marginally from 2.21 mn tonnes in 2001-02 to 2.18 mn tonnes in 2002 to 03. Thereafter, there has been a steady increase to over 2.7 mn tonnes in 2006 to 07. The production for 2007 to 08 is estimated at 2.9 mn tonnes. Blended yarn, which has a sizable blending with cotton yarn, has remained under 6 mn tonnes for most of the years between 2002-03 and 2005 to 06. It had earlier peaked at 6.5 mn tonnes in 2000-01. Lately, there has been some improvement. The production in 2006-07 and 2007 to 08 is estimated at 6.35 and 7 mn tonnes, respectively. The overall share of cotton in all yarn production is around 75%. Compared with the industry in other countries the Indian textile industry is endowed with some inherent advantages, such as abundance of raw material and cheap labour. As a result, India is the second largest cotton trader after the USA, having the largest area (9 mn hectare) under it. Shifting to BT cotton has helped in boosting production from 15.8 mn bales in 2001 to 02 to an estimated 31 mn bales in 2007 to 08.

Deck Wood (Wood and Plastic Composite) - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities

Wood plastic composite products is a new type composite material booming in recent years, refers to the use of polyethylene, polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, etc. It is mainly used for building materials, furniture, logistics, packaging and other industries. According to the plastic material, there are mainly PVC wood products, PE wood products, HDPE wood composite products etc. Wood plastic composites (WPCs) are composite materials made of wood fiber/flour and thermoplastic(s) (includes PE, PP, PVC etc.).Chemical additives, as a third composition component, are practically invisible (except mineral fillers and pigments, if added) in the composite structure. They provide for almost complete integration of polymer and wood flour (powder) while facilitating optimal processing conditions. In addition to wood fiber and plastic, WPCs can also contain other ligno cellulosic and inorganic filler materials. WPCs are a subset of a larger category of materials called natural fiber plastic composites (NFPCs), which may contain no cellulose based fiber fillers such as pulp fibers, peanut hulls, bamboo, straw, digestate, etc. Plastic lumber products began appearing in Indian markets in the late 1980s. Its development was stimulated both by the rising volume of largely un recycled plastic waste for which uses were needed as well as by increasing consumer interest in more durable, lower maintenance outdoor products such as decking and fencing. The major selling points for composite lumber are that it is free of potentially hazardous chemicals, and made largely from long lasting, low maintenance, recycled materials. It is, often promoted as an environmentally preferable or green alternative to other decking materials. In this paper we examine the performance of wood plastic composite (WPC) decking and its environmental properties. Uses & Application Wood plastic composites are still new materials relative to the long history of natural lumber as a building material. The most widespread use of WPCs in North America is in outdoor deck floors, but it is also used for railings, fences, landscaping timbers, cladding and siding, park benches, molding and trim, window and door frames, and indoor furniture. Wood plastic composites were first introduced into the decking market in the early 1990s. Manufacturers claim that wood plastic composite is more environmentally friendly and requires less maintenance than the alternatives of solid wood treated with preservatives or solid wood of rot resistant species. These materials can be molded with or without simulated wood grain details. Market Survey Wood Plastic Composites (WPCs) are defined as composite materials that contain thermoplastics and wood in various forms. Mostly, either the polymer or the fiber, or both, can come from recycled materials. Because of the limited thermal stability of wood, only plastics that can be processed at temperatures below 392 degrees Fahrenheit are used in WPCs. The average product carries about 50% wood, generally in particulate form, such as wood flour or very short fibers. WPCs represent one of the rapidly growing markets within the plastics industry. Double digit growth is expected through 2011 for WPCs used as replacement for treated wood in building products and related applications. However, WPC lumber will see much faster growth through 2011, posting gains of 14.3% pa to reach US$2.6. Composite lumber demand will be fueled by strong demand in decking applications. In addition, rapid growth in windows and door applications, as well as smaller niche end uses (porches, site and leisure furniture) will support demand going forward. Among the major product categories window and door applications for WPCs are anticipated to post the most rapid gains through 2011. As with other applications, WPC window and door components are making inroads because of their lower maintenance requirements, durability in exterior applications and similarities to wood. Decking applications are projected to see strong gains through 2011, continuing to increase its relative share of the composite and plastic lumber industry.

Carbon Fibers Composites - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Carbon fiber is composed of carbon atoms bonded together to form a long chain. The fibers are extremely stiff, strong, and light, and are used in many processes to create excellent building materials. Carbon fiber material comes in a variety of raw building-blocks, including yarns, uni-directional, weaves, braids, and several others, which are in turn used to create composite parts. Within each of these categories are many sub-categories of further refinement. For example, different types of carbon fiber weaves result in different properties for the composite part, both in fabrication, as well as final product. Strength, Stiffness, and Comparisons with Other Materials Carbon fiber is extremely strong. It is typical in engineering to measure the benefit of a material in terms of strength to weight ratio and stiffness to weight ratio, particularly in structural design, where added weight may translate into increased lifecycle costs or unsatisfactory performance. Carbon fiber composites are also significantly more expensive than traditional materials. Working with carbon fiber requires a high skill level and many intricate processes to produce high quality building materials (for example, solid carbon sheets, sandwich laminates, tubes, etc). Very high skill level and specialized tooling and machinery are required to create custom-fabricated, highly optimized parts and assemblies. Many different types of materials are used to create composites like Honeycomb, Foams, and Wood etc. Uses and Applications Carbon fiber composites provide an alternative to conventional materials, for example steel, aluminum, and fiberglass, for the construction of lightweight trusses and frame structures. The first construction method for these types of carbon fiber structures is using tubes and gussets. Uni-direction carbon fiber can be added to individual members to increase bending/axial stiffness and strength. Likewise, gusset thickness and geometry can be adjusted to ensure proper shear stress transfer through the joints. An alternative lightweight, and often cost-effective, carbon fiber construction method is using our patent-pending connectors and pultruded carbon fiber tubes In addition, the skills necessary for construction of this type of structure are relatively easy to master. Market survey Indian Carbon Fiber Composites Market is forecast to Reach USD 53 million in nearby future. Once the domain of aerospace and space applications in India, carbon fiber composites are increasingly being used in a host of new industrial applications where material cost is secondary to performance, high strength and reduced weight considerations. Indian carbon fiber composites market poised for dramatic growth and expects to reach USD 53 million by 2018. The industrial market is expected to witness very strong growth, followed by aerospace segment. Consumer goods market expects to post slow growth between 2013 and 2018. Currently, the market for carbon fiber composites is estimated at $10 billion (USD) globally, and observers expect that it could reach as high as $40 billion by 2022. Aspiring and established carbon fiber manufacturers and a variety of marketing partners are positioning themselves to meet the vastly increasing need for raw fiber and fibrous reinforcement products. After 2020, further cost reductions – primarily driven by the hybridization of composite components (combining continuous fibers and other materials such as metal or short fibers) – will lead to a significant market expansion. The expectation is that these hybrids can be produced with processes similar to pure composites. The volume of high-strength Carbon Fibre components produced worldwide is set to grow by 17% a year until 2020. In key sectors of industry, like automotives, aeronautics and wind energy, we are already seeing the use of large quantities of continuous fiber-reinforced components. With the growing importance of lightweight construction across various industries, there will be strong growth in demand for these products going forward, assuming that production costs fall.
