COPPER WIRE DRAWING (From Higher Size to Very Thin Size Used in Electrical Cables) - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials

Copper wire is an essential material for electrical cables, motor and transformer winding. It is available in different gauges. The gauge of the copper wire depends upon the winding required for the specific motor or transformer. On the basis of high conductivity, strength and ductility, copper wires are adopted as the best known economical material for such purposes. Copper is used mainly in the electrical industry for manufacturing parts of electrical apparatus, bus bars, wires etc. Another reason for its wide use is that the copper has resistance to atmospheric corrosion because of the formation of uniform layer of oxide on the surface of the metal. Besides these factors, copper has good mechanical properties viz. good of copper conductor wire is so high in India that despite a fair increase in installed capacity and actual productions of the units, import is continuing. Thus, some more new units need to enter the field.

COPPER WIRE DRAWING (From Higher Size To Very Thin Size Used In Electrical Cables) - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials

Copper wire is an essential material for electrical cables and motor and transformer winding. Copper wire is available in different gauges (42 gauges to 18 gauges). The gauge of the copper wire depends upon the winding required for the specific motor or transformer. There is a heavy market for copper wire in motor and transformer manufacture and the copper is also used in rewinding of motors and transformers. Whatever the motor may be the winding of copper wire is done. On the basis of high conductivity, strength and ductility, copper wires are adopted as the best known economical material for such purposes. Copper is used mainly in the electrical industry for manufacturing parts of electrical apparatus, bus bars, wire etc. Copper is not very ductile at temperature from 250 to 6000C and cannot be forged or stamped at temperatures above 8000C, due to its high brittleness. Pure copper is very seldom forged or stamped and usually only its alloys bronze and brass are subjected to forging and pressing. Wire is made by cold drawing hot-rolled wire/rod through one or more dies, to decrease its size and increase the physical properties. The wire rod about 7/32" (6mm) in diameter is rolled from a single billet and cleaned in an acid bath to remove scale rust and coating. The coating is applied to prevent oxidation, neutralize any remaining acid and to act as a lubricant or a coasting to which a later applied lubricant may cling. There is a very good scope for this product and new entrepreneurs should venture into this field. SOYA LECITHIN - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue, Plant Economics

Lecithin is a synonym for phosphatidylcholine. It is the main lipid component in biological membranes, like our cell membranes or cell walls of plants. On the other hand, commercial lecithin is actually a natural mixture of neutral and polar lipids, including glycolipids, triglycerides, sterols, and small quantities of fatty acids, carbohydrates, and sphingolipids. The polar lipid Phosphatidyl choline is present in commercial lecithin in concentrations of 20 to 90%. Lecithin is a generic term to designate any group of yellow-brownish fatty substances occurring in animal and plant tissues, and in egg yolk, composed of phosphoric acid, choline, fatty acids, glycerol, glycolipids, triglycerides, and phospholipids (e.g., phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylinositol). Lecithin is one of the principal natural emulsifiers for the industry. It is used in many products from food industrial chemicals to animal feed stuffs and pharmaceuticals. Lecithin is unique amongst natural emulsifiers for the sheer diversity of functions it performs in the food industry. Lecithin that contains phosphatidyl choline is produced mainly from vegetable sources, although it may also be found in animal and microbial sources. Majority of commercial lecithin sold in the market today come from soybean (mostly), sunflower, and grape seed. Soybean lecithin comprises of phospholipids and triglycerides with minor amounts of phytoglycolipids, phytosterols, tocopherols and fatty acids. Lecithin is anti-oxidant and emulsifying agent. The multi functional properties of emulsifying, wetting, colloidal and antioxidant properties make soya lecithin to be an ideal food ingredient. It is an emerging application as health protection food. Lecithin has been shown to lower total plasma cholesterol. Pharmaceutical industry uses lecithin in a number of formulations. For these applications, pure lecithin is needed, i.e. free of all other substances, primarily oil and fatty acids. Soy lecithin consists of three types of phospholipids; phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphotidylinositol (PI). It is extracted from soybean oil and is generally used as a natural emulsifier or stabilizer in various food applications. Lecithin's multifunctional properties and its `natural' status make it an ideal food ingredient in cake mixes, cheese, candy, salad products, chewing gum, chocolate, dehydrated foods and margarine on account of it emulsifying, wetting, colloidal and antioxidant properties. Lecithin is a combination of naturally-occurring phospholipids, which are extracted during the processing of soybean oil. The soybeans are tempered by keeping them at a consistent temperature and moisture level for approximately seven to 10 days. This process hydrates the soybeans and loosens the hull. The soybeans are then cleaned and cracked into small pieces and the hulls are separated from the cracked beans. Next, the soybean pieces are heated and pressed into flakes. Soybean oil is extracted from the flakes through a distillation process and lecithin is separated from the oil by the addition of water and centrifugation or steam precipitation. The present Indian demand is around 7500 tonnes per annum and the export demand around 10500 tonnes per annum where as the global demand is around 225,000 tonnes per annum according to estimate. The NC thinner is a blend of colorless low odor mineral spirits used for thinning oil base paints. Solvent system for lacquers is generally referred to as lacquer thinners because they are a mixture of true or active solvents, latent or co solvent and diluents. True or active solvents are liquid which dissolve nitrocellulose and are usually esters, ketones and other alcohols. Latent or co solvent are not solvent for nitrocellulose but when used in combination with a true solvent they improve the solvent power and produce nitrocellulose solutions with appreciably lower viscosities. Alcohol such as ethanol, propanol, and butanol are the most commonly used latend solvent. Solvents and thinners are used for thinning paints to a working consistency, diluting oil painting mediums, dissolving varnish resin crystals and waxes, cleaning paintings for the purpose of restoration, and general studio cleanup. They are called a solvent when used to dissolve solids such as a varnish resin crystals, and a thinner when used to dilute liquids such as painting mediums. Solvents such as turpentine and mineral spirits are naturally based products, whereas paint thinners are most often synthetic variations. Advantages Quickly reduces the consistency of the lacquer to the required degree and improves film smoothness of lacquers when applied either by spray or dipping thus extending excellent finish. Lacquer dries without blushing, resin blush, pin holing and other surface defects. Market Survey Paint thinner is a solvent used to thin paint. There are a number of different paint thinners on the market today. Some of the different ones are acetone, turpentine, naphtha, toluene, white spirit, xylene and lacquer thinner. Paint thinner can use to remove oil based paint. To remove paint with paint thinner, soak a steel wool pad in paint thinner and scrub the old paint. This works well in removing lacquer and shellac finishes, which dissolve easily in the thinner. Artists who use oil based paints use paint thinner to clean paintbrushes. House painters and industrial painters use thinner to help clean brushes and other tools and supplies. Paint thinner is made from one of three primary ingredients: turpentine, which is distilled from pine trees; acetone, which is the primary ingredient in fingernail polish remover; and toluene, which is distilled from crude oil and the tolu tree and is also used in fingernail polish, rubber and adhesives. ? Thinner is the solvent and thinner used with all types of lacquer including nitrocellulose, CAB-acrylic and catalyzed. It’s the most interesting of the finish solvents because its composed of half a dozen or so individual solvents. Manufacturers vary these to control solvent strength and evaporation rate. Solvents from all five of the solvent families are used in lacquer thinners. Thinners are solvent mixtures known to dissolve paints. It is dangerous to expose oneself to them daily. They can be used to remove tar buildup and other known compounds alike. Paint thinners work mainly on paints for exterior usage only and should not be used as a furniture polish. Uses and Applications The main uses of solvents and thinners are in paint and varnish industries. The thinners used are Aliphatic Hydrocarbons, as mineral spirit naphtha other petroleum fraction Turpentine dipentenes Aromatic hydrocarbons as tolueol xylol methylate naphthalene. Petroleum thinners are desirable because of their relatively low cost and their chemical inertness which is indicated by the large proportion of saturated hydrocarbons that they contain. Petroleum thinners are mixtures of aliphatic naphthalene and to a less extent aromatic hydrocarbons and are obtained from the straight distillation of crude oil.
