Andhra Pradesh government schemes fall into two groups. Household schemes pay cash or give services: ₹15,000 a year to the mother of each schoolchild, ₹20,000 a year to farmers, three free gas cylinders, free bus rides for women and pensions from ₹4,000 a month. Business schemes sit in the state's MSME and Entrepreneur Development Policy 4.0, which pays 25% of a new unit's fixed capital investment as subsidy, and 45% for micro and small units wholly owned by women or by entrepreneurs from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, backward class and minority communities.
Most household schemes were launched or renamed after the Naidu government took office in June 2024, and many online lists still carry the older names.
Which Andhra Pradesh government schemes are running in October 2026?
Seven schemes carry most of the welfare spending. The 2026-27 budget, presented on 14 February 2026, sets aside ₹8,456 crore for Talliki Vandanam, ₹6,600 crore for Annadata Sukhibhava, ₹27,719 crore for the pensions and ₹1,420 crore for Stree Shakti, according to PRS Legislative Research's budget analysis.

From 1 October 2026 the Centre's share of national social assistance pensions, for about 9.34 lakh pensioners, goes to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, while the state's share is still paid in cash at home, Deccan Chronicle reported on 22 September 2026.
Where do the ₹1,500 and ₹3,000 monthly promises stand?
Two 2024 manifesto promises have no launch to point to: Aadabidda Nidhi, ₹1,500 a month for women, and an unemployment allowance of ₹3,000 a month. At the first anniversary in June 2025, ThePrint reported the allowance as pending and the ₹1,500 scheme as disputed between government and opposition. On 1 July 2025 the Chief Minister said the allowance was coming soon. No Government Order or application portal for either turned up in the sources read for this page in October 2026, so treat any site offering an application form with caution.
Which Andhra Pradesh scheme pays for a new business unit?
The MSME and Entrepreneur Development Policy 4.0 (2024-29), as amended by a Government Order issued on 17 February 2025, decides whether a new plant gets a subsidy. A special-category micro unit can receive up to ₹45 lakh, almost double the general cap, though the medium-unit rate is lower at 35%. Special category means an enterprise wholly owned by women, backward class, SC, ST, minority, specially-abled or transgender entrepreneurs, based in the state.
| Unit size | General category | Special category | Instalments |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micro | 25%, up to ₹25 lakh | 45%, up to ₹45 lakh | 2 |
| Small | 25%, up to ₹1.5 crore | 45%, up to ₹4.5 crore | 3 |
| Medium | 25%, up to ₹7 crore | 35%, up to ₹7 crore | 4 |
These rates apply to new enterprises only. Expansion or diversification units claim a separate technology upgrade subsidy of 20% (40% for special category, 30% for special-category medium units), so settle whether your unit counts as new before ordering machinery. The same order lists these benefits:
| Benefit | Terms |
|---|---|
| Power cost reimbursement | ₹1 a unit for five years (₹1.5 for special-category micro and small units), capped yearly at ₹1 lakh (micro), ₹5 lakh (small) and ₹15 lakh (medium) |
| Net SGST refund | 100% for five years, up to 5% of annual turnover a year |
| Land cost rebate | 75% of land cost, up to ₹25 lakh, for SC or ST-led micro and small units in Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) estates and parks, once per piece of land |

How many MSME parks has Andhra Pradesh built, and who gets the land?
The state aims to put an MSME park or flatted factory complex in each of its 175 constituencies. Deccan Chronicle reported on 8 September 2026 that parks had been opened or had foundation stones laid in 138 of them. Land had been allotted to 3,246 units across 1,954 acres, with proposed investment of ₹9,162 crore. Only 37 of those units had started production and 466 were under construction. If you are counting on neighbouring units being in place, ask the park's allotment office how many plots are actually building. For districts and industrial towns, see our page on industries in Andhra Pradesh.
Food processing has its own Food Processing Policy 4.0 (2024-29), under which projects above ₹200 crore count as mega projects eligible for customised incentives. The subsidy rates sit in that policy, so do not assume the MSME rates above apply. See our food processing business ideas page.
Which Andhra Pradesh scheme names are out of date?
In July 2024 the new government renamed several inherited schemes, according to Deccan Herald (29 July 2024) and IANS (25 July 2024). A list still showing a name in the left column is out of date.

How do you check eligibility and apply?
- Search by the current name, not the older one.
- Run your details through myScheme, the national portal that asks for age, gender, income and category before listing the schemes you qualify for. It redirects to the department's own application page; you cannot apply there.
- Keep an Aadhaar-linked bank account ready.
- For a business subsidy, have the unit's registration and a project report ready. See the detailed project report format lenders expect.
What to do next if you are setting up a unit in Andhra Pradesh
Decide whether the unit is new or an expansion, and whether it is special category; those answers pick your subsidy row. Choose the location with the land rebate in mind and read the guidelines before ordering machinery. Subsidy rarely covers the whole project, so see the startup funding guide for other routes, business ideas in Andhra Pradesh and more government schemes for entrepreneurs.
