Editorial Policy

NPCS has advised entrepreneurs on manufacturing projects since 1994. Our guides exist to help readers decide whether a project is worth pursuing and what to check before committing money. This page explains how we choose topics, where our figures come from and how every article is reviewed.

What we write about

We publish only on topics our consultants work on: manufacturing and business ideas, how to start specific units, project reports and feasibility studies, industrial locations and government schemes for entrepreneurs. We choose topics from the questions readers actually search for. We do not publish on subjects outside this work.

Where our figures come from

Project costs, machinery shares, rates of return and break-even figures come from NPCS project profiles. These are projections prepared for comparing ideas, not guaranteed outcomes, and our articles say so where they are used. Rules, schemes, registrations and statistics are taken from official sources such as PIB, CPCB, BIS, ministry and state government publications, and are linked in the article. Where no reliable figure exists, we say that instead of estimating.

Who writes and reviews

Every article names its author. Core topics such as project reports, feasibility studies and project identification are written and reviewed by our founder, Ajay Kumar Gupta, who has 40 years in project consulting. Sector and market guides are researched and written by Diksha Garg, who works in entrepreneurship development and market research, and are reviewed by the founder before publication. The review checks figures against their source, accuracy of regulatory steps, and whether the advice is something we would give a client.

Keeping articles current

Every article shows its publish date. We review published figures at least once a year, and sooner when a scheme, rule or registration process changes. Updated articles show the date of the last update.

Advertising and independence

Our articles carry no third-party advertising. The only calls to action are enquiries for NPCS’s own services, and these do not influence what an article recommends. Several of our guides advise readers to test demand or sell before investing in a plant.
