India is known as the second-largest producer of sugar after Brazil that accounts for 16% of world production. The largest sugarcane producing state of India is Uttar Pradesh, which has a 38.61 % share in overall sugarcane production. Whereas, the second and third largest states are Maharashtra and Karnataka.
