It is the first largest producer of vegetables and second largest producer of fruits in the country. There exists huge scope of investment in the food-processing sector in the State. Private sector participation is being encouraged in packaging and food processing sectors to ensure better quality. Also, the State welcomes private investment for comprehensive development of tea industry and capital subsidy is available for setting up tea processing units. Even as the state of Bihar is being talked of as the next big hope for agriculture sector in the country, this sector also remains the most crucial factor for the state economy.

GOVERNMENT POLICIES:

In India, agricultural trade policy is a part of a larger food and agriculture policy regime that seeks to maintain food self-sufficiency while providing income support to the agricultural sector and poor consumers. The Government of India (GOI) uses a variety of policy instruments in attempting to achieve these goals, including:

•        Domestic subsidies to inputs, outputs, transportation, storage, and consumption to reduce producer costs and consumer prices.

•        Border measures such as subsidies, tariffs, quotas, and non-tariff measures to protect domestic producers from import competition, manage domestic price levels, and guarantee domestic supply.

The National Policy on Agriculture seeks to actualise the vast untapped growth potential of Indian agriculture, strengthen rural infrastructure to support faster agricultural development, promote value addition, accelerate the growth of agro business, create employment in rural areas, secure a fair standard of living for the farmers and agricultural workers and their families, discourage migration to urban areas and face the challenges arising out of economic liberalization and globalisation. Over the next two decades, it aims to attain:

•        A growth rate in excess of 4 per cent per annum in the agriculture sector;

•        Growth that is based on efficient use of resources and conserves our soil, water and bio-diversity;

•        Growth with equity, i.e., growth which is widespread across regions and farmers;

•        Growth that is demand driven and caters to domestic markets and maximises benefits from exports of agricultural products in the face of the challenges arising from economic liberalization and globalisation;

•        Growth that is sustainable technologically, environmentally and economically.

The policy seeks to promote technically sound, economically viable, environmentally non-degrading, and socially acceptable use of country’s natural resources - land, water and genetic endowment to promote sustainable development of agriculture.

Benzoic Acid Production Business

Benzoic Acid Production Business. Profitable Business Ideas in Chemical Industry Benzoic acid, C6H5COOH, is a colourless crystalline solid and the simplest aromatic carboxylic acid. Benzoic acid occurs naturally free and bound as benzoic acid esters in many plant and animal species. Appreciable amounts have been found in most berries (around 0. 05%). Cranberries contain as much as 300-1300 mg free benzoic acid per kg fruit. Benzoic acid is a fungistatic compound that is widely used as a food preservative. It often is conjugated to glycine in the liver and excreted as hippuric acid. Benzoic acid is a byproduct of phenylalanine metabolism in bacteria. It is also produced when gut bacteria process polyphenols (from ingested fruits or beverages). Benzoic acid has the advantage that it does not affect the odor or taste of the soft drink, if used in small quantities. The preserving quality of benzoic acid is based on its activity to delay the multiplication of several groups of microorganisms, which, however, are not killed by this product. The low solubility of benzoic acid in water complicates its application in products containing large amounts of water. Therefore, the water-soluble salt sodium benzoate is used. Benzoic acid and its salts used as preservatives are represented by E- numbers, E210, E211, E212, and E213. Benzoates are salts and esters of Benzoic acid. Benzoic acid when used as a preservative is added with a concentration of 0.05-0.1% to the food products. The rising demands for packaged food and beverages fuel the demand for Benzoic acid market growth globally. Benzoic acid and benzoate are used to preserve acidified food products such as fruit juice, pickles (vinegar), sparkling drinks, etc. as the efficacy of both of them depends on the pH of food. Benzoic acid is also used in chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics, and in other industries. It is used for the production of Benzoate Plasticizer, Benzoyl Chloride, and Alkyd Resins. The application of Benzoic acid can also be traced in medical, dye intermediates, and for animal feed. Benzoic acid is used as a constituent for the treatment of fungal skin diseases such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, tinea, etc. Benzoic acid is a common constituent in toothpastes, mouthwashes, deodorants, etc. in which it acts as an anti-microbial agent. The strong demand for the benzoate plasticizers also gives a positive outlook in the global expansion of its market. Market Outlook The benzoic acid market is projected to grow from USD 1,009.9 Million in 2018 to USD 1,313.5 Million by 2023, at a CAGR of 5.4% from 2018 to 2023. Benzoic acid is extensively used to manufacture sodium benzoate and potassium benzoate which are also known as its derivatives. Increasing demand of packaged food and beverages drive the demand for Benzoic acid market across the world. Food preservation is necessary to increase the shelf life of the packaged food products which drives the growth of Benzoic acid market. Increasing demand for the replacement of phthalate plasticizers by benzoate plasticizers for different applications is likely to drive the demand for Benzoic acid market. Rising population, higher income, and changing psychographics of Asian countries drive the growth of Benzoic acid market in the region. The consumption of Benzoic acid allows the market to remain relatively higher in the Asia-Pacific region, which will boost the advancement of this market. Rising demand for sodium and potassium benzoate also has been supporting the growth of Benzoic acid market. Per capita plastic consumption is following a higher rate in countries like India and China, which will enhance the demand for plasticizers and ultimately drive the market growth for Benzoic acid. Strict regulations in developed countries may limit the growth of alkyd resin and ultimately the Benzoic acid market. Benzoic acid is not dangerous when used in lower concentration. However, it can harm lungs and digestive tract after prolonged usage and exposure to the substance. Like any other chemicals, Benzoic acid also has some toxic properties which stagnates the growth of the market. Increasing demand of preservatives to improve shelf life of the products coupled with growth in food & beverages industry is likely to drive benzoic acid market price trend over the forecast period. Consumers are shifting preference towards adoption of convenience food and ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages owing to hectic lifestyle particularly in key regions such as Europe and North America. Packaged food & beverages are gaining popularity with increase in availability of different product ranges. Bicycle Rim

A bicycle wheel is a wheel, most commonly a wire wheel, designed for a bicycle. A pair is often called a wheel set, especially in the context of ready built "off the shelf" performance-oriented wheels. Bicycle wheels are typically designed to fit into the frame and fork via dropouts, and hold bicycle tires. The first bicycle wheels followed the traditions of carriage building: a wooden hub, a fixed steel axle (the bearings were located in the fork ends), wooden spokes and a shrink fitted iron tire. A typical modern wheel has a metal hub, wire tension spokes and a metal or carbon fiber rim which holds a pneumatic rubber tire. The rim is the "outer edge of a wheel, holding the tire". It makes up the outer circular design of the wheel on which the inside edge of the tire is mounted on vehicles such as automobiles. For example, on a bicycle wheel the rim is a large hoop attached to the outer ends of the spokes of the wheel that holds the tire and tube. In cross-section, the rim is deep in the center and shallow at the outer edges, thus forming a "U" shape that supports for the bead of the tire casing. The regional demand dynamics of bicycle rims is directly correlated with the overall production and fleet of the bicycles. China is projected to dominate in terms of sales and is estimated to remain dominant in terms of demand for bicycle rims owing to increasing sales of bicycles. North America is expected to grow at significant CAGR during the forecast period in the bicycle rim market owing to increasing government regulations to support green transportation in the region.

Disposable Products (Knife, Fork & Cutlery Items (Spoon)

Disposable Products A disposable (also called disposable product) is a product designed for a single use after which it is recycled or is disposed as solid waste. The term often implies cheapness and short-term convenience rather than medium to long-term durability. The term is also sometimes used for products that may last several months (e.g. disposable air filters) to distinguish from similar products that last indefinitely (e.g. washable air filters). The word "disposables" is not to be confused with the word "consumables" which is widely used in the mechanical world. Disposable products are used only once or twice and are often not recycled. When it comes plastic, we aware that it is usually non-biodegradable in nature. Plastic and other disposable products cause a significant damage to our environment. Plastic bags choke the wildlife and refuse to break down in oceans or landfills. They aren’t easy to recycle and make environment pretty messed up. The disposable products market is witnessing an annual growth of nearly 6-7% due to increased consumer spending on personal care products globally. In addition, the demand for improvised comfort, performance and efficient absorbent products is expected to drive demand for disposable products in the near future. Concerns for safety, convenience and hygiene are identified as key factors affecting growth of disposable products market. Disposable Cutlery Items The major items of cutlery in Western culture are the knife, fork and spoon. In recent times, hybrid versions of cutlery have been made combining the functionality of different eating implements, including the spork (spoon / fork), spife (spoon / knife), and knork (knife / fork) or the sporf which combines all three.
