Silicate solutions may be applied either by cascade, immersion, or transfer roller systems. It is best to use notched scrubber bars to form a thin bead of silicate on the paper, liquid and powder. Silicate products are also used as binders in briquetting, palletizing, or other agglomeration or forming applications. There is a good scope for new entrants. | |
