Workers then add other materials including aluminum oxide and silica flour to create a mix that is around 80% aluminum oxide and 20% silica flour. This mixture is then sent through more grinding mills for about an hour before it is ready for use as abrasive grit or shot.
The finished product is then packaged and shipped out to customers who use it for various purposes such as woodworking, metal working, stone polishing, and cleaning concrete among others.
