The betel nut (Supari) tree, which is known as "ARECA" in South India. It is planted in Bengal, Mysore, Sri Lanka etc. Its yield considered being very good in Sri Lanka. The betel (Piper betel) is the leaf of a vine belonging to the Piperaceae family, which includes pepper and kava. It is valued both as a mild stimulant and for its medicinal properties.
