For the manufacturing of sanitary napkins, mainly raw materials that are used are laid paper or wood pulp, Tissue with SAP, PE films, glues, and release papers are used for making sanitary napkins. They can use recycled tin boxes or low-cost iron boxes and plates to decrease the manufacturing cost.

The pad making machine can be devised at a low cost that could be operated with minimal training. A single machine is used to source the processed pine wood pulp from a supplier and the machine would grind, de-fibrate, press and sterilize the pads under ultraviolet rays before packaging them for sale.
Requirements for the Sanitary Napkins Manufacturing:
For the set-up of sanitary napkins, approximately 400 square feet of room is required. Here are basics machinery and accessories would be required for setting up the business:
- De-fiberation machine for grinding wood
- Core forming machine to form napkin core.
- Soft-touch sealing machine.
- Napkin core dyes.
- UV treatment unit.
- Weighing scale.
- Work tables.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING OF SANITARY NAPKINS:
- Firstly, wood pulp is purchased in a commercially available sheet form.
- Then de fibrates to the wood pulp on the de fiberation machine by the user of a carbon steel blade which de fibrates the wood pulp to a required filament length of 1-1.5mm.
- Then, the wood pulp is de fibrate then it’s fed into the core-forming machine to compress the pulp into a required share of napkins. This process is done without any automation.
- Then the formed wood pulp cores are wrapped by a non-woven fabric and are sealed by sensitive impulse sealing method.
- Finally, on the napkins the position sticker is pasted.

RAW MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR MANUFACTURING OF SANITARY NAPKINS:
For the past years, most of the raw materials are now manufactured in India that decrease the lead time significantly. Raw materials such as air-laid paper or wood pulp, tissue with SAP, PE films, glue, and release paper are used for making sanitary napkins. Depending on the price for the end customer they can choose from a variety of raw materials options.
