The Future of Farming: Hydroponic Greenhouse Farming

The Future of Farming: Hydroponic Greenhouse Farming. Starting a Commercial Hydroponic Greenhouse. Profitable Hydroponic Production. The science of soil-less gardening is called hydroponics. It basically involves growing healthy plants without the use of a traditional soil medium by using a nutrient like a mineral rich water solution instead. A plant just needs select nutrients, some water, and sunlight to grow. Not only do plants grow without soil, they often grow a lot better with their roots in water instead. Hydroponics is a system of agriculture that utilizes nutrient-laden water rather than soil for plant nourishment. The re-use of nutrient water supplies makes process-induced eutrophication (excessive plant growth due to overabundant nutrients) and general pollution of land and water unlikely, since runoff in weather-independent facilities is not a concern. Aeroponic and hydroponic systems do not require pesticides, require less water and space than traditional agricultural systems, and may be stacked (if outfitted with led lighting) in order to limit space use (vertical farming). This makes them optimal for use in cities, where space is particularly limited and populations are high-self-sustaining city-based food systems mean a reduced strain on distant farms, the reduction of habitat intrusions, fewer food miles, and fewer carbon emissions. What are its Benefits? Hydroponic gardening is fast becoming a popular choice for many growers around the world due to its more sustainable approach to resource usage than the usual growing methods. Here are a few of its many benefits: • By providing constant and readily available nutrition, hydroponics allows plants to grow up to 50% faster than they would in soil. Also, fresh produce can be harvested from a hydroponic garden throughout the year. • Great for both the environment and the grown product, hydroponic gardening virtually eliminates the need for herbicides and pesticides compared to traditional soil gardening. • Any water that is used in hydroponic gardening stays in the system and can be reused, reducing the constant need for a fresh water supply! • Arable land is often in short supply and gardening space continues to decrease. A great option when you lack yard space or have a tiny balcony, hydroponics also lends itself really well to indoor gardening. Market Outlook The global hydroponics market is projected to reach USD 395.2 Million by 2020, growing at a CAGR of 16.8% from 2015 to 2020. A sub-segment of hydro-culture, hydroponics is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. Hydroponics method uses two main mediums to grow crops - solution culture and solid medium culture. This method of farming is a niche segment gaining popularity in urban, customized agriculture setup. Companies are mainly focusing on launching new products and facilities by investing in R&D activities. Partnerships and agreements with regional players are being carried out to expand the global presence by companies. The global hydroponic vegetables market has witnessed impressive growth due to rise in the production of hydroponic vegetables. The growing awareness about the advantages of this form of cultivation over traditional farming has been propelling the global market. Hydroponics save water, land, use lesser fertilizers, and are a simple solution to problems of climate change. Owing to these advantages and more, the global hydroponics market is likely to be worth US$12,106.5 mn by the end of 2025 from US$ 6,934.6 mn in 2016. The global hydroponics market is segmented based on system type, crop type and by geography. By type, the hydroponics farming is classified as liquid and aggregate system; hydroponics growth techniques appoint aggregate system primarily in commercial cultivations. By crop type, the market includes products like tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and vegetables, strawberries, peppers, and other food crops. Tomato crop is the major segment driving the global hydroponics market for the forecast period. Production of Industrial Safety Leather Shoes. Safety Shoes Manufacturing Project

Production of Industrial Safety Leather Shoes. Safety Shoes Manufacturing Project. Safety Footwear Production Plant. Safety boots are vital for anyone working in an industrial environment. They provide protection from falling objects, which could crush your toes, and prevent injury if you accidentally step on something sharp. Safety shoes are required where the potential for serious injury to the foot may result from an employee's daily job duties. A pair of safety shoes (also known as safety boots) is personal protective equipment (PPE) for foot protection at workplaces. It prevents from getting foot injuries due to slippery surface, heavy falling or rolling objects, sharp piercing edges, pinch points, rotary machinery, hot objects, loops of ropes under tension, splinters, electricity, chemicals or even bad weather etc. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires the employers to ensure that the employees use protective footwear while working in the areas where there are dangers of foot injuries. Functions of Safety Shoes Foot injuries can be debilitating, resulting in time away from work or difficulty performing a job. Wearing safety shoes or boots can help prevent many foot injuries in the following ways. 1. PROTECT FROM FALLING & FLYING OBJECTS When workers carry heavy materials or work in dynamic environments where many people, machines and vehicles are operating at once, falling and flying objects are common hazards. Protective shoes like steel toe boots can effectively prevent crushing injuries to the feet. 2. PROTECT FROM PUNCTURES When workers could step on sharp objects or be struck by sharp objects from above, shoes with heavy-duty soles and thick materials surrounding the foot offer the best protection. At construction worksites, for example, many sharp objects could be in someone’s path. A soft-soled shoe might not provide enough protection. 3. PROTECT FROM CUTTING HAZARDS Machinery that is sharp or contains moving parts can pose cutting hazards. Workers in the logging industry, for example, face dangers from chainsaws. If a chainsaw were to come in contact with someone’s foot, the result could be catastrophic. Logging boots—which are required by OSHA under standard 29 CFR 1910.266(d)(1)(v)—made with cut-resistant material will protect those workers who use chainsaws. These boots are also waterproof or water repellant and support the ankles. 4. PROTECT FROM ELECTRICAL HAZARDS Electricity poses a variety of risks in the workplace. Workers could face potential electric shocks or accumulate static electricity, which can lead to electric sparks in certain environments. To reduce the chances of an electrical accident, non-conductive footwear made from leather, rubber or other materials that don’t conduct electricity can be worn. In locations where the build-up of static on the body poses a hazard, anti-static or conductive footwear can be used. These options reduce the amount of static that accumulates on the body, preventing static electric sparks. 5. PREVENT SLIPS, TRIPS & FALLS Slips, trips and falls can happen in any workplace and result in many accidents annually. Businesses can take steps such as implementing housekeeping measures and installing anti-slip floor tape to reduce the risks of these mishaps. Proper footwear can also provide additional protection against slips, trips and falls. Shoes with appropriate traction can help prevent falls on the same level in slippery environments. They can also prevent falls from ladders, which are all too common when people don’t wear shoes with proper treads. Footwear that fits well and feels comfortable can also improve balance, which will help prevent slips, trips and falls, too. 6. PREVENT FATIGUE For workers who stand all day, especially on hard surfaces like concrete, fatigue can be a real problem. Muscles in the feet as well as the legs, back and other parts of the body grow tired, and the situation can be worsened when employees don’t wear appropriate footwear. Shoes that provide adequate cushioning and arch support can make people more comfortable, which alleviates strain on muscles. This means employees will grow fatigued less quickly. Employees who are less fatigued will be more alert, so they will likely do their jobs more safely and more efficiently. Preventing muscle strain will also help protect against musculoskeletal disorders such as chronic lower back pain, too. 7. PREVENT BURNS Burns from fire can happen in the workplace, but so can burns from chemicals and even from common workplace materials like cement. Footwear made from durable materials can prevent burns from chemicals splashes, molten metal splashes and other dangerous substances that could injure the skin on the feet. 8. PROTECT FROM EXTREME WEATHER Cold weather can lead to injuries such as frost bite and hypothermia, and those dangers shouldn’t be overlooked in the workplace. People who work outside in the winter are at risk, as well as employees who work in wet or refrigerated environments. Furthermore, the cold can exacerbate some less known workplace injuries. For example, Raynaud’s Syndrome is a disease where the fingers can turn white from poor blood flow. This condition, related to vibration from power tool use, is made worse when employees are exposed to cold temperatures. In some cases, this disorder can impact the feet, too, so keeping the feet warm and comfortable in conjunction with other measures for keeping the body warm is important. Footwear for the workplace offers many kinds of protection for workers. For those reasons alone, it’s worth making a foot protection program part of workplace. Remember that in many work situations protective footwear is required. Few Indian Major Players are as under: • Bata India Ltd • Faizan Shoes Pvt. Ltd. • Florind Shoes Pvt. Ltd. • Lakhani India Ltd. • Liberty Shoes Ltd. • Marina Shoes Ltd. Market Outlook Global leather industrial safety footwear market size was valued at over USD 4 billion in 2015. Leather is preferred material of use for making uppers for industrial protective footwear market owing to its key performance properties which includes durability and insulation. Global industrial safety shoes market size should generate over USD 6 billion sales by 2024. These are used in various industries to protect foot from hazards or injuries and should be comfortable to wear. Industrial safety boots market size should witness gains at over 4.5%. They are specialized to protect leg or feet from various industrial works. Industrial safety footwear market size witnessed highest consumption from construction applications and may register over 110 million pairs by 2024. These protective shoes used in construction industry must be resistance to oils, concrete & fuels, and other industrial hazards. In addition, these must be with slip-resistant and puncture-resistant soles to avoid shocks. The global industrial protective footwear market is anticipated to witness a significant growth over the forecast period, owing to the compliance with stringent regulations, mandating an elevated standard of worker and workplace safety across organizations, along with the growing concerns regarding workplace safety across the world. The market for industrial protective shoes in the manufacturing application was valued at close to USD 550 million in 2015, which is presumed to grow at a significant rate over the next eight years. The growth in this application segment can be attributed to the intensive use of flammable liquids, considerable fire hazards, and the widespread use of assembling machines and presses in the manufacturing industries, which increases the risk of accidents at workplace. Production of Insulators (HT & LT)

An electrical insulator is a material whose internal electric charges do not flow freely; very little electric current will flow through it under the influence of an electric field. This contrasts with other materials, semiconductors and conductors, which conduct electric current more easily. The property that distinguishes an insulator is its resistivity; insulators have higher resistivity than semiconductors or conductors. Insulators are used in electrical equipment to support and separate electrical conductors without allowing current through themselves. An insulating material used in bulk to wrap electrical cables or other equipment is called insulation. The term insulator is also used more specifically to refer to insulating supports used to attach electric power distribution or transmission lines to utility poles and transmission towers. They support the weight of the suspended wires without allowing the current to flow through the tower to ground. Few Indian Major Players are as under: • Aditya Birla Insulators • Spark Insulators Pvt Ltd • Prime Insulators Pvt. Ltd • Cji Porcelain Pvt Ltd • Shreeji Power & Insulators Pvt. Manufacturing Business of Medical Disposables

Manufacturing Business of Medical Disposables. IV Cannula. Cannula Manufacturing System The IV cannula itself is a small flexible tube that surrounds a trocar needle used to puncture the skin. The cannula has a fitting that can be connected to more tubing or a port for medication administration once the needle has been removed. Aside from aiding in hydration and administering medication, a cannula can also be used to obtain blood samples for testing. Intravenous (IV) cannulation is a technique in which a cannula is placed inside a vein to provide venous access. Venous access allows sampling of blood, as well as administration of fluids, medications, parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy, and blood products. A cannula is a tube that can be inserted into the body, often for the delivery or removal of fluid or for the gathering of data. In simple terms, a cannula can surround the inner or outer surfaces of a trocar needle thus extending the effective needle length by at least half the length of the original needle. It is also called an intravenous IV cannula. Its size mainly ranges from 14 to 24 gauge. Different-sized cannula have different colours as coded. ‘Cannula’ and ‘catheter’ both mean exactly the same thing– a flexible tube inserted into the body to administer or withdraw fluids or to keep another tube patent. Intravenous cannulation is a technique in which a cannula is placed inside a vein to provide venous access. Venous access allows sampling of blood as well as administration of fluids, medications, parental nutrition, chemotherapy, and blood products. In general, the smallest gauge of catheter should be selected for the prescribed therapy to prevent damage to the vessel intima and ensure adequate blood flow around the catheter, which reduces the risk of phlebitis. In an emergency situation or when patients are expected to require large volumes infused over a short period of time, the largest gauge and shortest catheter that is likely to fit the chosen vein should be used. There are four types of IV Catheter: Peripheral Catheter, Midline Peripheral Catheter, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter & Central Venous Catheter. Uses and Applications A venous cannula is inserted into a vein, primarily for the administration of intravenous fluids, obtaining blood samples and administering medicines. An arterial cannula is inserted into an artery, commonly the radial artery, and is used during major operations and in critical care areas to measure beat-to-beat blood pressure and to draw repeated blood samples. IV Cannula has veterinary use, nasal or oral use too. Cannula can also be used for piercing. The common uses are rapid transfusion of blood, transfusion of IV drugs. Paediatric patients or adults with small veins undergoing long term medication or blood transfusion are subjected to IV Cannula. It is also used on oncology patients undergoing Chemotherapy. Few Indian Major Players are as under:- • La Medical Devices Ltd. • Lifeline Injects Ltd. • Sangam Health Care Products Ltd. • Span Medicals Ltd. • Surgiplast Ltd. Market Outlook The Indian market for peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs) is split up into 2 segments: conventional PIVC and safety PIVC. PIVCs are inserted in veins and arteries. An arterial access site is utilized in patients that require blood pressure monitoring. Firmer catheters are preferred for arterial access. A venous access site is utilized for infusing fluids, providing antibiotic treatment and other standard procedures. In 2016, safety PIVCs represented 12% of the total market for PIVCs, with the remaining balance represented by conventional PIVCs. Women's Lingerie-Ladies Undergarments (Bra & Panties)

Hosiery industry is an ancient industry in the field of textile industry having very good potential in domestic market and also in the export market. There is increasing market demand for hosiery undergarments for its various advantages. Cotton undergarments are widely used by all classes of people because of its good absorbency, cheaper prices and ready availability. These foundation garments are used by the people throughout the year under different climatic conditions. It is presumed that there will be no problem in marketing of knitted undergarments of good quality. Ladies innerwear (Bra and panties) is the highest growing apparel item across all income groups and exclusive boutiques have popped up in all places. Nothing cramps the style faster than ill-fitting and uncomfortable undergarments. Thus, innerwear are not only made attractive, but also comfortable and practical. Top stylists unchain their creativity by inventing fabulous new forms and materials which make ladies innerwear even more sexy, eccentric and wild, without leaving out elegance. There has been an increase in demand for innovative, comfort-oriented undergarments and lately, many women are forgoing those fussy lingerie designs for simple, uncomplicated ladies undergarments. In addition to keeping outer garments from soiling, ladies innerwear are worn for a variety of reasons: warmth, comfort and hygiene being the most common. Market Outlook The Innerwear Category is one of the high growth categories in the apparel market and promises growth and innovation. The higher income, along with higher discretionary spending, growing fashion orientation of consumers and product innovations by the innerwear market have turned innerwear from a traditionally utilitarian item to an essential fashion requirement. The current size of the Indian innerwear market is Rs. 15,870 crores ($2.9 billion). The category is also growing at an impressive CAGR of 12 per cent and is expected to reach Rs. 27,900 crores ($5.1 billion) by 2017. The womens innerwear market, which is driven by value-added innerwear products, contributes around 60 per cent to the market. The women’s innerwear market worth Rs. 9,540 crores ($1.7 billion) is one of the fastest growing categories within women’s apparel. This category is growing at a CAGR of 14 per cent, and is expected to reach Rs. 18,380 crores ($3.4 billion) by 2017. The lingerie market in India can be classified into super-premium, premium, mid-market and economy and mass market segments. A major share of the lingerie market is held by the mid-market and economy segments, in terms of both value and volume. The super-premium and premium segments are relatively smaller, but fast-growing segments. In the present scenario, the premium and super premium segments of the lingerie industry are advancing following a consumer shift from economy and mid-market segment to the premium segment. 90% of lingerie in India are sold in mom and pop stores where the experience is very poor because of no trial room, no female staff, stocking capacity is very low, no guidance on size etc. Here, interestingly selling lingerie online is not difficult because the product is seen as utility product in India. According to a research report, in volume terms, the women’s lingerie segment holds a 52 per cent share of the total innerwear market in India. In value terms, the women’s lingerie segment holds a 66 per cent share of the total innerwear market, thereby enjoying a higher Average Selling Price (ASP) as compared to the men’s innerwear market. India's lingerie market is currently valued at $3 billion. A mere 1% of it is online. In the next few years the market value is projected to jump to $5 billion. While physical stores obviously ring in the bulk of the sales, the unavailability of sizes, lack of privacy and shortage of trained personnel has paved the way for online lingerie portals. Mahua Alcoholic Beverage Production

Mahua Alcoholic Beverage Production. Country Liquor Processing Business. Mahua longifolia is an Indian tropical tree found largely in the central and north Indian plains and forests. It is commonly known as mahua, mahwa or Iluppai. Mahua is a common tree in deciduous forests of India, quite prominent in states of Andhra Pardesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh., Orissa, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Mahua flowers are in dense fascicles near end of the branches having 1.5 cm long fleshy cream coloured corolla tube and are scented. Flowering period of Mahua is from the month of March to May. It is cultivated in warm and humid regions for its oleaginous seeds (producing between 20 and 200 kg of seeds annually per tree, depending on maturity), flowers and wood. The fat (solid at ambient temperature) is used for the care of the skin, to manufacture soap or detergents, and as a vegetable butter. It can also be used as a fuel oil. The seed cakes obtained after extraction of oil constitute very good fertilizer. The flowers are used to produce an alcoholic drink in tropical India. This drink is also known to affect the animals. Several parts of the tree, including the bark, are used for their medicinal properties. It is considered holy by many tribal communities because of its usefulness As for liquor, mahua is a sacred drink for adivasis, and one of the world's best when distilled properly. Mahua flowers are rich in sugar (68-72%), in addition to a number of minerals and one of the most important raw materials for alcohol fermentation. The present investigation was for the development of a non-distilled alcoholic beverage from Mahua flowers. Mahua (Madhuca indica) has been used for liquor production, for centuries, by the tribals. However, wine from mahua flower is not common. Fermentation conditions were standardized for mahua wine preparation. Wine made from different mahua germplasm showed no significant difference in terms of biochemical and sensory quality. The liquor produced from the flowers is largely colourless, with a whitish tinge and not very strong. The taste is reminiscent of sake with a distinctive smell of mahua flowers. It is inexpensive and the production is largely done in home stills. Uses of Mahua The Mahua tree is a very important source of food for the Gonds and other tribes in Central and Western India. They are also used for making alcohol, vinegar, syrups and jams. Mahua oil is largely used in the manufacture of soaps, besides cooking. Mahua flowers and seeds have healing Power and Curative Properties, used in Bronchitis, Rheumatism, Diabetes, Piles, Arthritis, Problem of Breast Milk Secretion, Bleeding Gums, Tonsillitis, Eczema, and Skin Disorders. Mahua flowers are also considered good for cooling, and are used as a tonic and demulcent. However an estimated 90 per cent of the production goes into brewing beverages. In traditional medicine, the flowers are used for a variety of purposes. An extract of the flowers is used for heart disease and to treat excessive vaginal discharge. This is also believed to be good for the eyes, TB, asthma, blood diseases, thirst and burning sensations. The flowers are also believed to be aphrodisiacs and to increase the quantity (but not necessarily the quality) of sperm. In addition to its use as a domestic fuel, it is also widely used in industries, where there is a requirement of low sulphur content fuel and fine temperature controls. The Chemical composition of propane is C3H8 and butane, C4H10. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), popularly known as cooking gas, is a mixture of hydrocarbons which are gaseous at normal temperature, but can be liquefied at moderate pressure, and can be stored in cylinders as a liquid under pressure, and is drawn out and used as gas. Applications: • For industries today, quality, costs, efficiency, environment, heat controllability, among others, are major concerns when it comes to choosing the right fuel. • LPG addresses all these making it the ideal fuel choice for a host of industrial and domestic applications. • LPG is a pure, clean energy source which provides even and controllable heat. This makes it the ideal heat and power source for a wide range of industrial uses. • Since LPG is almost free from sulphur, it can be used in sensitive situations such as chemical processes, etc. • LPG is also used for space and process heating to power industrial ovens, kilns, furnaces, machinery and in food processing units. Market Outlook LPG consumption in India is forecast to surpass 35 MMT by FY26. North region dominated India LPG market over the past few years, and is further forecast to continue dominating the market through FY26.
