A big industrial drive is now under way in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Jagran, one of India’s most reliable Hindi language newspapers, has reported in August 2026 that the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a firm stance towards building a new industrial corridor along the proposed Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway and Meerut-Pauri Highway (NH-119). Demarcation teams have completed the demarcation of land in ten villages of Sadar tehsil, Bijnor, covering around 750 hectares. Approximately 8,000 farmers hold around 500 ha across 4,243 land parcels (gata numbers), while the government owns approximately 250 ha.<\/p>\n
It’s not a standard government statement. This is a rare land activation in the early stages of the industrialization process in a district which is on the border of Uttarakhand, is at the intersection of two major expressway corridors, and has historically experienced few industrial activities \u2014 thus land, labour, and first mover advantage are still available.<\/p>\n
The clock has begun for entrepreneurs, manufacturers, MSME founders, logistics entrepreneurs and investors. As soon as UPEIDA (Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority) completes the acquisition and starts the process of allotment of industrial plots, the situation will change. Now is the time to act \u2014 before the allotment, before the price climbs and before the masses come to them.<\/p>\n
