Uttar Pradesh is making one of its most ambitious steps in infrastructure development in recent years. In 2026-27, the \u20b918,400 crore supplementary budget allocated by the Yogi Adityanath government is all set for the expressway segment, making UP one of the highest spending states for the build-up of expressways in the country.<\/p>\n

Among the headline announcements, as NDTV.in reported<\/a> in August 2026, the budget provides \u20b95,780 crore to extend the Ganga Expressway from Meerut toward Haridwar via Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee, \u20b9250 crore to build a greenfield expressway connecting the Ganga Expressway to Noida\u2019s Jewar International Airport via Bulandshahr, and \u20b9400 crore for a link corridor joining the Ganga Expressway with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway through Hardoi and Farrukhabad.<\/p>\n

This isn’t just a roads allocation. It’s a manufacturing trigger, logistics multiplier and an invitation for MSMEs. History shows it: In three years since the opening of the Yamuna Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway corridors, greenfield land became flourishing industrial belts. Early readers of this signal will get structural cost edges over late arrivals in the form of founders, manufacturers and investors.<\/p>\n
