The purpose of the collaboration is to promote the Frugal Bottle, a revolutionary packaging solution which is designed from about 94% recycled paperboard with a thin food-grade liner which safely contains the liquids.<\/p>\n

Compared to traditional glass bottles, Frugal Bottle is five times lighter, produces 84% less carbon emissions and uses four times less water to produce. The advantages of this product make it one of today’s top environmentally friendly packaging options.<\/p>\n

The Indian alcoholic beverage market is projected to reach a value of USD 55 billion which will create substantial needs for new packaging solutions in the upcoming years. As a result, the manufacture of paper bottle in India<\/a> could be a potential industrial opportunity for manufacturers, startups and MSMEs in India<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This partnership of ITC and Frugalpac is the starting point of a new sustainable packaging ecosystem in India.<\/p>\n
